ABSTRACT

Backround: The COVID-19 pandemic has a psychological impact on society, namely anxiety. Factors that influence anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic are age, education level, occupation, and history of being diagnosed with COVID-19. This study aims to determine the risk factors for anxiety in housewives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Subjects and Method: An observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach was conducted in South Purwokerto, Central Java. The sample is 70 housewives selected by simple random sampling. The dependent variable is anxiety. independent variables were age, education, occupation, and COVID-19 infection. Anxiety was measured by the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. Other variables were collected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-square.

ABSTRACT

Background: In Banyumas, as of 27 June 2021, there were 15,809 confirmed cases and 669 deaths. Social restrictions with forced quarantine to fight the spread of diseases that have psychosocial impacts such as acute panic, anxiety, obsessive behavior, buildup, paranoia, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Community knowledge and attitudes affect compliance with the prevention and control of COVID-19. This study aimed to examine Knowledge, Attitudes, Anxiety & Perception of Mental Health Service Needs during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study, conducted in Banyumas, Central Java, from July to August 2021. A total of 687 subjects was selected by snowball sampling. The dependent variable was anxiety. The independent variables were demographic data (initials, age, gender, home location, occupation, education level), marital status, pregnancy status, history of COVID-19, knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of mental health service needs. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using a multiple logistic regression.

ABSTRACT

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has spread to 215 countries and territories since the outbreak first occurred in Wuhan, China. Indonesia has also declared the Covid-19 national disaster since 2 positive patients were found on March 2, 2020 and there has been a rapid spread to various regions in Indonesia including Banyumas District. This study aims to determine the risk factors, effective reproduction number and predictions SIR of Covid-19 in the Banyumas District for the period of 16 March-14 June 2020. Method: This study is a cross-sectional design. Cases are patients with comfirmed covid-19 in the area. Minimum sample size was 43 and total sample size was 70 people. Univariate analysis was used to describe of characteristics, epiestim to determine effective reproduction number, and SIR model to determine prediction of covid-19. Result: As of June 14, 2020, in Banyumas District there were 392 suspected cases, 70 confirmed cases, 58 cases were recovered and 4 people died. The characteristics of the confirmed cases were the age group of 15-24 years as much as 21.1%, males 62%, 52.1% have a history of travel to/from out of town, and 91.5% showed symptoms especially fever symptoms as much as 81.7%. The effective reproduction number (Rt) for the period March 16, 2020-June 14, 2020 was 1.81 (0.83-3.35;95% CrI). SIR model predictions, that the peak of the outbreak will occurred on June 21, 2020 with the number of confirmed cases of 4,312 people. Conclusions: The covid-19 outbreak in Banyumas District was still out of control and still ongoing. It is recommended to continue to increase discipline of health protocols, get used to wearing masks, keep a distance and wash hands with soap and strengthen tests, traces and treatments and also protect vulnerable groups.

ABSTRACT

Online learning is one of the main alternatives to learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal period. This learning has been implemented at various levels of education with various platforms. Various studies have shown that online learning has varying effectiveness at all levels and types of education. The implementation of online learning is not supported by an in-depth study of student readiness. Student readiness in online learning can be assessed comprehensively from the aspects of equipment capability, technology skills, self-directed learning skills, motivation, and perceived usefulness. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the multiple intelligences possessed by students, the level of multiple intelligences of students and to measure the relationship between multiple intelligences with the learning outcomes of welding practice lectures in the Undergraduate Program of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The method used is a survey. The research was carried out in the Undergraduate Program of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The research was conducted from April to July 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and was conducted online. The research subjects were students of the 2018 Undergraduate Program of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The independent variable is the student's multiple intelligences and the dependent variable is the learning result of welding practice lectures. The result of this research shows that the highest multiple intelligences is interpersonal intelligence (78.91%) and the lowest multiple intelligences is naturalist intelligence (63.48%). Other multiple intelligences include verballinguistic intelligence (72.01%), logic-mathematics (72.59%), visual-spatial (71.29%), kinesthetic (72.02%), musical (68.36%), intrapersonal (73.93%) and existential (65.43%). The highest multiple intelligences that became dominant from the students of the S1 Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, were interpersonal intelligence with 20 students (25.97%), intrapersonal with 17 students (22.08%), visual-spatial with 8 students (10.39%), logic-mathematics with 7 students (9.09%), musical with 7 students (9.09%), verbal-linguistics with 6 students (7.79%), kinesthetic with 5 students (6.49%), existential with 5 students (6.49%) and naturalists with 2 students (2.60%). The value (Sig.) Is 0.028 <0.05 and the t_count value is 2.246> 1.99897, it can be concluded that there is a contribution of multiple intelligences of students of the S1 Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (X) to the learning outcomes of welding practice in the Undergraduate Program of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (Y). © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing.
